At the end of my second year studying English Literature at Swansea University, I have come out with a First! I hope to continue on this track in my third year and then go on to study an MA in Medieval and English Literature at Swansea, York or Oxford.
Alongside studying, I currently work as a creative intern with the Cultural Institute at Swansea University as part of the 'Wales and World' project which promotes literature, specifically Welsh literary culture. In addition, I run my own blog (linked below), run The Waterfront as editor-in-chief and pursue my academic and creative interests.
I thrive off of academia, with the prospect of researching and further intellectually developing myself within a university or institution being my ultimate ambition. After studying for an MA, I plan to complete a PhD in my field at the same institution or wherever my research takes me; preferably, a university with an outstanding gender or medieval department. If I am fortunate to get the opportunity, I would love to undertake a research fellowship and then progress on to becoming a lecturer, professor or academic librarian.
Alternate literary career paths that additionally ignite would be a literary agent - roles within the publishing or editing industry or working within a museum or cultural site where I could use my literary and historical expertise developed through my studies.

My History
I developed my skills in photography at Swansea College
I also started my craft using film cameras and a darkroom before the introduction of the digital camera.
I believe the expertise and the secret skills of photography started disappearing and we were now entering into a world of if it looks okay on the screen on the back of the camera it is good enough. Using the right equipment and the correct settings that fit the environment I'm working in is much more important.
Don’t get me wrong I do love this new digital age as it now means I can use my imagination more effectively and experiment without adding extra costs. Although digital cameras use the same settings as film cameras with digital come’s a new learning curve in the form of digital software. So after many years of using Adobe Photoshop the industry standard for photography I now have an Adobe associate qualification in this software. I’m a great believer that the customer and I should get the best out of every image I take.
I also believe that even if they don’t choose us for their special day they should make sure that their Wedding Photography is in safe hands because as they will see after all the work and lots planning the actual day goes so quickly the Bride and Groom will miss much of it.
These are the special moments that should last for generations to come.
